Microwave Sludge Drying from Burch BioWave ®
Overview
The Burch BioWave ® is a patented high-efficiency process utilizing a dual-fuelled
microwave system to remove water or other liquid from a
variety of waste materials. It has Municipal, Industrial, and Agricultural applications
and is recognized by the USEPA as a system capable of
producing Exceptional Quality Biosolids. The process eliminates pathogen
content while reducing weight and volume of the material. The
end product is environmentally safe, nutrient rich and has
a variety of beneficial uses.
Our qualified staff can design a unique system tailored to your specific needs. We
place special focus on quality customer service and
product innovation to create a cost-effective solution to waste management in todays
world.
The Burch
BioWave ® provides a method of protecting human health and the
environment. Burch BioWave, Inc. can assist municipalities, industry and agriculture in creating
facilities that are in harmony with the environment, while
simultaneously serving the needs of the community. Air, water and land quality are principal
environmental considerations faced by everyone today. The
Burch BioWave ® patented process focuses on proving that waste
is not always the price of doing business and that waste is
not the inevitable outcome of production and consumption. We
believe that a quality future for generations to come requires
the dedicated sustainable use of our resources.
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle
State and federal governments are continuously demanding nutrient management plans,
tougher regulations, and more accountability in waste handling. The Burch BioWave
provides a cost effective, reliable means of helping to provide an environmentally
responsible solution to improving our environment and avoiding public concern for waste
handling processes that are not consistant with the safe-guarding of the said
environment. The patented process produces a waste product that eliminates the
necessity of landfills, addresses air emission concerns, and at the same time achieves a reduction
in volume of waste, transforming a waste material into a valuable
resource. The financial, social and environmental benefits associated with this
microwave patented process effectively turns your waste handling problem into a benefit
for your facility.
Process
The Burch BioWave ® is a new and patented
continuous-flow process for drying and pathogen destruction in
various byproducts including municipal biosolids. The process utilizes a high-efficiency
multi-mode microwave system specifically designed to remove moisture and
destroy the pathogen content of byproducts resulting from a
variety of municipal, industrial, and agricultural
operations. The Burch BioWave ® process is
currently in use both in the United States and Europe and is
recognized by the USEPA as a process that has the ability to
produce Exceptional Quality biosolids. Burch BioWave ®
equipment is available in a variety of sizes, each with the
ability to dry a certain throughput of material. Equipment
sizing is dependent on the amount of material to be dried and
the amount of water to be removed.
