How it works

The BAR SCREEN comes with a frame into which the bars which form the screen are fitted. These bars are made from mild steel strip and are joined to each other on the reverse side. A plate is mounted above the channel covering. A central axle is mounted on the frame with 2 sprocket wheels which drive the conveyor chain. The scraper blades which carry the waste accumulated in front of the screen upwards, are mounted on the conveyor chain. The number of scraper blades is determined by the quantity of waste. The rotary scraper blades remove the waste, which is kept back from the liquid flow by the screen, and carry it up to the discharge point. This waste is then collected in a container, a screening waste press, or is transported on a conveyor belt, etc. The screen can be fitted level or at an angle.

Fabrication

The bar screen is made from SS 1.4306 as standard and are available with a bar separation from 0.5 to 50 mm. Above the channel the screen is fully covered. The drive is fitted outside the cover and comes with a torque limiter.

For the removal of suspended liquid and solid materials from process and waste water

  • Bar spacing from 1 up to 6 mm
  • Discharge screenings up to 3100 mm
  • Capacity range up to 10.000 m3/h
  • Indoor or outdoor use
  • Self cleaning
  • Compact fabrication
  • Construction Material: SS 1.4306, in option SS 1.4404

How it works

These fine screens are fitted with moving and fixed stepped bar units which gradually extract the captured solids from the liquid flow. These SNOEK FINE SCREENS for in- or outdoor mounting have been specially developed for the processing of small to medium-sized volumes of screened waste. Due to their simple functioning these self-cleaning SNOEK FINE SCREENS are blockage-free and require little maintenance. As the process is discontinuous, a layer of screened waste accumulates against the fine screen. This layer of screening waste further ensures an optimal fine sieving of the smaller solids. An initial dewatering of the screening waste takes place in the dewatering zone of the fine screen.

Fabrication

These fine screens are largely made with SS 1.4301 as standard and are available with a 1 to 6 mm bar spacing. The drive mechanism is installed entirely above the level of the liquid thus ensuring minimal wear, tear and easy maintenance.

Screw Conveyer/Compactor
Type axleless screw conveyor and dewaterer in stainless steel for the dewatering, compacting and transport of screened waste, abattoir waste, pulp, etc.

  • Volume-reduction
  • Dewatering
  • Self cleaning
  • Compacting zone
  • Compact fabrication
  • Capacity range up to 17 m3/h
  • Length up to 15 m
How it works

This SNOEK SCREW CONVEYOR/COMPACTOR is suitable for the dewatering and volume reduction of screened waste from domestic and industrial waste water. This SCC model comprises a dewatering, trans-port, pressing and compacting zone. The screening waste is transported to the pressing section where the screw is surrounded by a press cage with axial passages. The SCREENING WASTE is pressed together and dewatered in the compacting zone. The dewatering depends on the plug formed in the compacting zone and the pressure of the discharge valve. The spacing of the press cage is designed according to the material to be dewatered and the grade of separation desired.

Fabrication

These Snoek Screw Conveyors and dewaterers are constructed as standard from:
- Sheetmetal in SS 1.4301
- Screw blade in special purpose steel
- Liner in HmPE
- Press cage in SS 1.4301 with axial passage width = 1 mm
- Pre-stressed discharge valve.

Screw Wash Press
For the washing, dewatering and compacting of screened waste

  • Elution of screened waste
  • Volume reduction of screened waste
  • Lower costs for screened waste disposal
  • Sturdy construction, easy maintenance and low energy costs
  • Can be fitted under any type of fine screen and water conveyor drain
  • Clean end products
  • Competitive price
How it works

The SCREENED WASTE is tipped into the receiving zone with dewatering section and is conveyed by means of a screw conveyor to the rinsing section, where the pre-cleaning of the waste commences. The material is then moved on to the cleaning and pressing section. Here the screened waste is reduced and dewatered. The waste is removed from the cleaning press by means of a press/conveyor pipeline. The diameter, length and tipping height can be modified to meet all requirements. The SNOEK SCREENING SCREW WASH PRESS can be placed directly under the Snoek Fine Screen. Inlet width is up to 2000 mm. It is also possible to feed in the screened waste by means of an axeless screw conveyor, conveyor belt or water transport drain. If the waste is fed in via a water transport drain, extra equipment can be fitted in the receiving zone of the press.

Fabrication

With the exception of the screw and the motor reductor all parts are made in SS 1.4301 as standard. The Snoek Screw Wash Press is designed to guarantee a continual elution of organic material from the screen-ing waste. The SWP is a compact unit, as the screw is the only moving part maintenance is very simple.

Receiving Station
For the removal of suspended and solid materials in sludge and septic material

  • Sieving of sludge and septic material
  • grease and sand resistant
  • Standard construction in SS 1.4301
  • No bearings or drive components in the liquid
  • Fully automatic with low maintenance
  • Compact dimensions
  • Fully enclosed unit fitted with extractor connection
  • Indoor or outdoor mounting
How it works

This RECEIVING STATION is fitted with a SNOEK FINE SCREEN, type ES as basic. This fine screen has a stepped moving and fixed bar unit which automatically removes the particles from the liquid flow. Because of the way they work these self-cleaning fine screens are blockage proof and require little maintenance. The controls of the unit can be set so that the installation operates discontinuously causing an accumulation of screened waste to build up which provides an optimal fine sieving. As a second stage the built-in SNOEK SCREW CONVEYOR/COMPACTOR ensures further dewatering of up to ± 45% DS and a volume reduction of ± 55% of the captured screened waste. The waste is then pressed into a container through a conveyor pipe. The filtered waste water can also be treated with a sandclassifier and fat collector so that the waste water is entirely purified mechanically.

Fabrication

These compact units are made of SS 1.4301 as standard, with SS 1.4401 available as an optional. The through flow aperture ranges from 2 to 6 mm, which permits a processing capacity of up to 250 m3/h. Capacity of Receiving Stations: 1,5 m3. The drive components do not come into contact with the liquid making this a maintenance-free installation.

Sand Classifiers
For the removal of quick sinking particles in process and domestic waste water

  • Strong but simple and compact fabrication
  • Efficient and very easy to maintain
  • No bearings or drive components in the liquid
How it works

The SNOEK SANDCLASSIFIER is used as a dewatering apparatus in water purification installations. The axleless screw conveyor built into the machine and the special design ensure that sand and sediment products are removed efficiently. The key to its effectiveness lies in the low revolutions of the screw, the design and the tank intake. Water containing suspended products and potential sediments is pumped or flows freely into the SNOEK SANDCLASSIFIER. The design and low revolutions mean that vortexing is kept to a minimum so that an optional sedimentation of sand and solid matter is obtained. The moving particles which end up in the sand-classifier are kept to the front which prevents them from blocking the gravity outlet.

Fabrication

The Snoek Sandclassifier is made of SS 1.4301 as standard (with SS 1.4401 available as an optional). The wearing strips are made from oil-hardened steel (number depends on type). The screw is made of special purpose steel. Powered by a slip on motor reductor.

  • Odourless end product
  • High DS content in end product
  • ± 85% reduction of end product
  • Energy saving
  • Hygienic
  • Closed system, no odour problems
How it works

Snoek Technology nv/sa has designed this SNOEK SANDWASHER to remove organic material from sand. This is certainly very important if the sand receiver is placed in the sludge stream. The machine consists of a receiving tank, agitating gear and a water injection lance together with an axleless screw conveyor. The unit works automatically by means of a switch box. An optimal end product can be obtained by setting particular timings for agitation, water injection and outlet screw. The supply capacity of this unit is also variable.

Fabrication
